Towards low CO2 emissions
As part of the Pihla Group, and therefore also Inwido, we are committed to achieving net zero emissions throughout our value chain by 2050.
Short-term target
We are committed to reducing the greenhouse gas emissions from our own operations (Scope 1 & 2) from 2022 levels by 42% by 2030 and reduce indirect (Scope 3) greenhouse gas emissions from our value chain by 25% over the same period.
Long-term target
We are committed to reducing the greenhouse gas emissions from our own operations (Scope 1 & 2) from 2022 levels by 90% by 2050 and reduce indirect (Scope 3) greenhouse gas emissions from our value chain by 90% over the same period.
Science-based climate targets
Inwido’s science-based targets have been endorsed by the Science Based Targets initiative.
The Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) is a partnership between CDP, the United Nations, the Global Compact, the World Resources Institute (WRI) and the Worldwide Fund for Nature (WWF). SBTi is the most ambitious climate initiative based on recommendations from the scientific community. It only accepts companies that are committed to doing their part to prevent global warming of more than 1.5 degrees Celsius.

CO2 emissions from our own operations
We have monitored and measured the CO₂ emissions of our operations for several years. The parent company achieved its emission reduction target ahead of schedule, with the CO₂ figure decreasing to 0.78 in 2021 and 0.68 in 2022. However, challenging market conditions and lower production volumes compared to the previous year resulted in higher CO₂ figures in 2023 and 2024.
